Cinda
Ayres received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology with a
minor in Classical Studies and Latin from Indiana University in
1985, where she was on the Dean’s list. After obtaining her degree,
she lived in Asia and then worked in the insurance industry for
several years before deciding to attend law school.
Ms.
Ayres attended California Western School of Law in San Diego and
graduated in 1992. She was on the Dean’s list for several semesters
while in law school. Ms. Ayres was admitted to practice before the
State Bar of California, the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and
District Court, Southern District of California in 1992.
She
began her law career in 1993 working for Hanna Brophy. She has over
twenty years of experience in workers’ compensation defense
including defense of insured clients, self- insured clients and
public entities. She has been a certified legal specialist in
workers’ compensation since 1999.
Ms.
Ayres originally joined Trovillion, Inveiss and Demakis in 1997 and
worked at the firm for sixteen years. She recently re-joined the
firm in 2016. Her current practice includes the defense of workers’
compensation cases, serious and willful claims, Labor Code Section
132a claims and Alternative Dispute Resolution cases throughout
Southern California.
Married to her husband Tom, she enjoys traveling, running, hiking,
swimming and roller coasters in her spare time.
